Wow, I haven't come to DA since.....January I think. I've had so much time off lately from Americorps that I'm becomming bored and restless. For those who dont know, Americorps is compared to the "domestic peacecorps". But I like to describe it more as being Volunteer Mercenaries. Why? Because they call us out all over the country to live in the strangest enviroments and we'll do anything. We have a very high learning curve, we're extremely hard workers, we're strong and smart, and we get things done! Oh yes, and they're also shutting us down too because apperently we're too expensive *sigh*.

Just got back from Birmingham, Alabama learning how to do build a house, and this weekend I'm traveling to Slidell, Louisianna to demuck houses that were damaged from the hurricanes for six weeks. Fun!

Things I have done:
1. Kissed a Canadian
2. Heard the Indiana Jones Theme song played by a live symphony
3. Gone on two mission trips
4. Seen miraculous healings
5. Known true and complete love (First mission trip)
6. Been to a private (yet mosquito infested) Island
7. Gone on a bamboo raft ride in Jamaica
8. Been to the dessert in Venezuela (Coro)
9. Spent the night in an art museum (complete with doo doo attacking toilet!)
10. Been to the Andes mountains and hiked a small one
11. Seen a water fall (Andes)
12. Led someone to the Lord in complete Spanish (back when I didn’t know it)
13. Went snorkeling in Mexico
14. Been a pillow fight champion and gained my 15 minutes of fame!
15. Had a spontaneous beach trip at night and understood EXACTLY why it’s worth all the hype.
16. Jumped in an icy creek with Lucas during Spring Break.
17. Had numerous sailing adventures
18. Eaten shark, sting ray, alligator, and just about every form of goat you can eat (meat, cheese, milk etc.)
19. Trespassed on government property and laid upon the roof singing songs with my friends under the stars.
20. Had high afternoon tea at the Butchard Gardens in Victoria, British Columbia.
21. Learned Martial Arts.
22. Saved the world from aliens with only a quarter.
23. Received a dozen roses from Kenneth, always wanted someone to send me flowers and I thought it was ultra sweet.
24. I’ve had an anything goes, all out, rolling around on the breezeway in the middle of classes letting out, salad fight with Abbie!
25. I’ve aimed a round kick to my top locker to open it, and it worked!
26. I’ve seen Green in a sunset.
27. I’ve hung out the window of bus with 20 other teens with a flash light providing light because the bus’s headlights burnt out.
28. Sat under the stars with my best friends, listening to a live orchestra play Rhapsody in blue, and even saw a shooting star during it!
29. Been serenaded by a guy in a pink tutu on my birthday.
30. Seen a star fish rip off its own arm!
31. Viewed the beauty of phosphorous lights in the ocean at night!
32. Woke up at 6, drove to the beach, surf some, and make it home in time to go to work!
33. Seen the northern lights by the mountains, over the lake, while being held by someone I love.
34. Explored a real gold mine in British Colombia
35. Went to a natural hot springs resort and walked inside a cave, although there was no moaning or chanting.
36. Got to dress up like a pirate and experienced the exhilaration of playing ‘pretend’ and losing yourself in the fantasy.
37. Hung out in a treehouse with my best friend.
38. Took a 3 day road trip across Canada, complete with a wonderful night of sitting on a log with by Paul who was playing me his guitar, while looking over the lake, northern lights, and shooting stars.
39. Capsized twice in the chilly St. Johns River, once over a kiss on the cheek! LOL!
40. Had Pina Coladas outside and swear to God, it started raining!
41. Made the pantheon out of gingerbread!
42. Traveled to the top of the Seattle Space Needle and had a Starbucks white chocolate mocha!
43. I saw Star Wars the Return of the Sith opening night at midnight---all the while PMS-ing and making an enemy of the boy sitting next to me!
44. Went Swing Dancing and twirled around like a top while having the time of my life!

I've been invited to a BALL this Friday Night! I dont know how to ballroom dance so my friend Sara is going to be giving everyone lessons there. We're all going to dress up in fancy dresses and dance the night away---too bad it's not a Masquerade! Perhaps next time!

Dang......I'm gonna have a very boring and crappy birthday this year. Both my best friends will be in foreign countries and my family will be gone on a cruise. That sucks. I really wanted to take wind surfing lessons or go somewhere special. Oh well. I guess I've had other fun events that I've gotten to do this year, it just didn't happen to fall on May 2nd.

Does anyone know where the heck James Buchanan is? This is getting on my nerves! It's not like I can google him or something! It's not my fault he's named after an American President! Gee whiz! I want my bike back!
