When I saw a photograph of this wedding cake by cake decorator Colette Peter’s, I knew I had to draw it. I decided to replicate it with Primsacolor colored pencils, feeling the gentle medium would be the best choice for the delicate features. I thought the wedding cake was extremely interesting because it’s made out of donuts! I loved the playful and whimsical shapes. I tried to incorporate several different layers of colors while blending them together until I duplicated the soft and glossy textures of the delicate fondant creation.
gee, I don't know who you are, but you certainly know how to make cakes! Your coloured pencil execution adds to the yumminess; it's very smooooth. You must have stirred it for a long time ^_^ great lighting too.

Standing at the very edge of my imagination, I peered into the inky void and realised -- I couldn't think up a new sig.
That is incredible, I love drawing with colored pencils remember me? it has been a long time! what have you been up to?

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
